Sakura-Con
By day, Riri is a chemist; by night, a cosplayer. She also co-founded Lifted Geek, a website dedicated to geek culture. She started cosplaying in 2007 and also attended her first anime convention at Sakura Con. She didn’t begin making her own cosplay until 2013 and has been working with fabric, foam, and thermoplastics. Since then, she has won several awards and has been featured in many cosplay galleries and publications. Every cosplay project she works on challenges her more and more as she learns new techniques and skills to create the final product. She is always excited to learn new techniques and talk to other cosplayers on how they brought their cosplay to life. With that being said, she can’t wait to see the cosplay contestants of Sakura Con 2017.
